This animated anthology series features original stories set in iconic video game worlds. Video games have burst onto the screen in a big way, and we’re celebrating the genre with a closer look at over 50 video game adaptations to film and TV. Clive Standen reprises his role as Demetrius Titus, the protagonist of the video game Space Marine 2. The episode takes place after the events of the game, as covered in Film Junk Podcast: Episode 973: Carry-On (2024). . I’ve always wanted a series like this. When I’d watch movie trailers or video game cutscenes, I’d often think that some of them would make some of the best TV shows. I knew the creators of Love Death and Robots would make another animated anthology, and I’m glad I was right. The Warhammer episode was definitely a highlight for me so far, and I really hope to see more of it in the future. My only complaint would be that I’d have more time for some of the episodes. There are so many solid video game stories in this series that could be explored and adapted into larger episodes, the possibilities are very exciting and I’m glad they’ve kept the grittier, more adult tone going throughout. I’m very happy with what’s been shown so far and I can’t wait for what’s to come. One Hundred Years of Solitude is one of the biggest TV and streaming releases of the month.
